The Detroit Parks Coalition is excited to announce a new opening for a Program & Administrative Assistant — a role perfect for someone looking to gain hands on experience in varied non-profit roles while making a real impact in Detroit’s parks.
This position is ideal for an entry-level candidate who wants hands-on experience and exposure to multiple parts of a nonprofit organization. The Program & Administrative Assistant will work across departments, supporting programs, operations, and community engagement efforts. It’s a great opportunity to build professional skills while learning how a local mission-driven coalition functions from the inside.
This position is perfect for someone who truly wants to be out in the parks, not stuck behind a desk. From supporting DPC programs to helping with park events and activities, this role offers a balance of remote administrative work and on-the-ground involvement. You’ll get to see firsthand how programs come together and how park spaces come together to serve Detroit’s residents.
