First Annual Citywide Tennis Tournament
On August 20, 2022, DPC partnered with the Detroit Pistons and Palmer Park Tennis Academy to host Detroit's first annual citywide tennis tournament!
Freedom Arts Festival
A Knight Arts Challenge winner, the Freedom Arts Festival connects—and reconnects!—Detroiters to their neighborhood parks. Featuring music, dance, storytelling, and art reflecting Detroit’s multicultural tapestry, the festival brings together freedom, racial justice, history, and connection to place through arts & culture.
Summer 2022 Community Yoga
Thanks to a grant from the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, DPC is partnering with Yoganic Flow to offer free community yoga in our member parks.
